Odin Stones (aka Hag Stones, Witches Stones)
Odin stones are composed of sandstone and have naturally occurring holes caused by weather, water, or tiny shelled sea creatures. It is said that Odin, transformed into a worm, went through the stones, piercing them, to look for herbs in the ground suitable for his divine song. The Vikings used them as amulets of protection, healing or to repel curses, death, evil and disease. The older and wiser also, looking through the holes, could see other dimensions of hidden truths.
These stones were collected from the beaches along the Treasure Coast in Florida.
